Mark P. Williamson Stone Sculptor

                                       Sculptor Mark P. Williamson Announces
Representation by Austin Galleries of Austin, Texas

Dallas, Texas – December 5, 2005 – National award-winning contemporary sculptor Mark P. Williamson today announced the
formal representation of his sculpture by Austin Galleries of Austin, Texas.  Display and viewing of Williamson’s work in the
gallery is to be ongoing.

“We are delighted to be able to showcase a sensational body of Williamson’s works” commented George Attal, the gallery’s
founder.  “In my 40 years as an art dealer, Williamson’s contemporary stone sculptures are the best I’ve seen in this style”.

The current collection includes two works that each received awards in national juried exhibitions, titled “C-6” and “She Wants”,
both contemporary mixed marble pieces.  Also noteworthy is a compelling piece composed of resin and 12,000 red plastic coffee
stir straws titled “Transparent Ego”, as well as a large saltwater ‘red’ fish created from laminated layers of different colored granite
called “Not One Step Back”.

“My relationship with Austin Galleries is an opportunity to showcase some of my best work through a gallery that has truly
elevated itself to a legendary status in central Texas, in terms of locating fine art for many of the most devoted art patrons.  Of
course, it’s exciting to become part of such an organization” Williamson noted.

About Mark P Williamson
Williamson’s works have been accepted into more than 20 national juried art competitions since 2002, receiving awards in Denver,
Sacramento, and San Angelo.   A sculpture by Williamson currently graces the cover of Art & Antique’s annual “Insider’s Guide”
2005 – 2006.

Williamson perfected his marble sculpting techniques while in residence in Pietrasanta, Italy in 1991, later studying under the
Spanish abstract sculptor, Xavier Corbero (2001), and Jesus Moroles (2005).   While focused primarily on marble and granite,
Williamson's work often displays healthy experimentation in the use of other non-traditional media.
